Enjoy a barefoot bowls session at the Gosford City Bowling Club. All games include bowls and set up. Our friendly, experienced and helpful members will be on hand to provide tuition and advice . Barefoot Bowls is the new exciting and enjoyable way to play bowls. We can host work functions, team building exercises, birthdays, wedding groups or just casual get togethers. We provide a BBQ area and gas bottle for a small fee if you prefer to self cater. Everyone's Welcome !

In the beginning................ Early in 1930’s during the Great Depression efforts were made to have a bowling club at Gosford and despite early disappointment it became a reality when in 1937 the State Government made available a grant for relief of unemployment. The grant was allocated for the construction of a bowling green, clubhouse, tennis courts and grandstand at Grahame Park. It also assisted in reclaiming low lying areas adjacent to the waterfront. Gosford council completed all the work before the grant was exhausted. The official opening was performed by State Minister Hon Eric Spooner, MLA in September 1939 with the foundation officials being John Tooby President, E G ‘Ted” Buchan Secretary and Arthur Sterland Treasurer.
